Leipzig

Leipzig

I saw some nice things on the bike-sharing system "Durstexpress." I prefer the name "DursteXtremeMTB" because I used the 3-speed city bike for over 3 hours, costing about 5€. I travelled over 40km on gravel and small mountains towards Markkleeberg and cycled around the Cospudener See. This lake was once an open-cast coal mine that was flooded in 1993. It's a very popular nudist location if that's your kind of thing!

I spent two nights in a fairly large and boring hostel full of families and kids, which was a bit of a shame. I was happy to leave in search of a new place.

Nice Cow
Excellent gravel cycle tracks towards the lake.

This place is also a popular kayaking location with plenty of people on fun boats.

A fantastic day for windsurfing
I'm not quite sure what this is for. It could be an old coal mining relic or just a cool viewing platform.
Mmmm, this is a pretty rail photo
Market Square in Leipzig
Nice park to chill
Street in the centre, after returning my Durstexpress from its big trip near the hostel.

On the way out of Leipzig, I saw a man having a 💩... right outside the train station on top of a power distribution box. It was very unpleased, and I had to head straight to /r/Eyebleach to clear my mind of this horror.

On the train off to Prague via Dresden
